Not as well designed as the other rooms at Escape Games, Counter Ops balances this issue by using its space well. It’s a fairly empty main room, but the addition of a top floor (and an interesting way of getting there) makes the room better. All of the puzzles are thematic, relating to the idea of a counter-ops mission. This is Escape Games’ hardest room and they’re not kidding. Boasting a 2% success rate, those that do succeed have large groups, rather than the group of 4 I went in with. Having more people would definitely put you through the first half faster, and having more brains for the latter puzzles is never a bad thing. Unfortunately I didn’t escape, but after learning how to finish the game, the puzzles are definitely solvable and logic based. Although not Escape Games’ best, I recommend this room as a difficult escape if you’re up for a challenge.
