The Cursed Library is Esc-it’s entry-level room, which is best suited for first time escapers. The overall design of the room is fairly simple; a bookshelf, some chairs, some borrowed textbooks from local high schools and a fireplace. However, it works really well to introduce first time visitors to the style of puzzles you will expect to find at this location. As one of Esc-it’s "dark" rooms, each group member was given a flashlight at the beginning of the mission. The puzzles were logical and moved in a fairly linear fashion. Interestingly, we accidentally solved one of the puzzles before we were supposed to by using brute force. Experienced escape fans will probably find Cursed Lirbary too easy as we escaped quite quickly without the use of a clue. However, there is one outside the box element that my group found both clever and rewarding. As a small aside, one of the props in the room was slightly damaged which made the final puzzle a little harder than intended. It didn’t hinder the experience, but we did warn the front desk that it might disrupt other groups. Overall, it's a decent escape room to try.
