Escape Reviewer

Prison Break is currently Escape Manor's most difficult room. Although the theme of escaping from a prison cell is not unique, this room has some fun and interesting ideas. Similar to their other rooms, Prison Break makes good use of its space with several puzzles and thematic props scattered throughout. Consisting of two small areas that are visible in the same room, Prison Break is not as elaborate as some of its counterparts. There were no major surprises or wow-factor. However, the puzzles were all fun and very logic-based. I did have a couple of issues with this escape. One was the inability for some people to obtain an object depending on their size. The staff acknowledged this issue and stated that they closely monitor the game and they will come in to help if necessary. A minor issue was the seemingly incomprehensible sounds and images on the television screen (other than the occasional time check). This did not have to do with the puzzle solving and it only negatively affected our group's communication. Finally, having done other prison escapes, I strongly suggest that Escape Manor follow what most other companies are doing, and consider using blind folds for players while they are entering the room. I found that being able to look around while walking through the room towards the prison cell took away from the experience and mystery. Saying all this, my concerns were small and I still had a really good time. I recommend Prison Break as an average escape.
