The Asylum is a fun 45-minute take on the haunted hospital theme. The first thing to notice upon entering the room is the large amount of detail and decor that fits well with the hospital setting. I was particularly impressed with the incorporation of real hospital items as part of the puzzles. Like most 45-minute escapes, this was only a single room with some surprises near the end. It wasn't as large or elaborate as some other escape games, but The Asylum makes good use of its space. The puzzles were all interesting with only some of them requiring a little stretch of the imagination to complete. Although not billed as a horror experience, I want to tip my hat off to the staff for scaring the pants off one of my team members by using a special item that we weren't expecting. My only major issue with The Asylum is that it seems like it would be better suited as a 60-minute escape than a 45-minute one due to the amount of locks and puzzles. Overall, this was a very fun and exciting hospital escape!
