Exactly as the name implies, this 45-minute escape is set in a completely dark room. You enter the room handcuffed with your eyes closed, so that when you first go in, the hall light does not reveal the room. The first couple minutes are a mad scramble, as you only have two tiny lights and it takes time for your eyes to adjust to the darkness. There is no real theme to this room other than it being completely black. Walls are coloured black, aside from clue decoration, and the room is fairly empty (as with most dark escapes to avoid injury). The puzzles in this room were actually surprisingly unique and hands on. All of the puzzles were very solvable, despite some being fairly difficult. We had one technical issue where a staff member had to be called in to replace batteries, but everything else ran smoothly. It was slightly disappointing that we were able to get away with guessing the third number to open a 3-numbered lock, instead of solving the puzzle. Regardless, this room was full of surprises and some very interesting ideas and concepts. A modest, yet very fun room escape.
