Given no reason as to why we were locked in a cemetery, we had to figure out how to make our way through and reach the exit. The room design is fun with scattered objects making you feel immersed in the atmosphere of a cemetery. We found the props and tools in this mission to be a little lower in quality, and we discovered objects that must have come from prior groups with no relevance to our escape.

The ideas of death and haunted locations are widely used in escape games, yet cemetery themes are less common. The idea of a cemetery and death is carried into some of the puzzles, however there are a few that seem out of place. There is only one traditional combination lock, with everything else using some form of technology, adding excitement to the puzzle solving.  The room is linear in design and very little searching is needed, which allows for more time to be spent working on the puzzles and to take in the immersive environment that the creative minds at Lost Canada have concocted.

Although there were only a handful of puzzles, each was unique and required different ways of thinking in order to solve them. The difficulty rating for this room is on the easier end which seemed appropriate for puzzles we faced. Some of the puzzles had broken parts which made solving them slightly more difficult to solve as they were harder to read.

With the amount of puzzles in this room, we suggest that the best team size would be 3 - 5 players. The Royal Cemetery is an ideal game for people new to escape rooms and want to challenge themselves.
