A small 45-minute escape, this single room is filled to the brim with wooden objects and lockboxes. Having everything made of wood played into the theme well, but it would have been nice to see more variety in the form of some replica tools, sawdust, etc. The first half of the room was found to be relatively easy, leaving around 35 minutes for the last three puzzles. One of these puzzles requires prior knowledge of a certain classic board game, which may end up being a game-breaker for some. The final puzzle was a big disappointment. It's a type of puzzle that I have come across before, however, The Woodshop takes an added step to make this puzzle next to impossible without a hint. It involves a series of letters and numbers in order to solve a numbered combination. The problem is that there are no clues as to how to arrange these various letters and numbers together. This room ultimately left us frustrated and we spent time brainstorming ways they could have implemented the final puzzle differently. I hope they change this puzzle, but until then, I can not recommend this room.
