Duel with the Devil, one of Mystery Room Downsview's newly remodelled escapes, is a nice addition to their company. While the puzzles were slightly less intuitive than those of Doctor Nightmare, they provided a superb level of comprehension and appropriate difficulty. It was nice to see different types of locking mechanisms throughout the escape, but the room transitions were fairly simple. It was hard to become immersed into the theme of trying to kill the son of the Devil due to the lack of quality design. The puzzles were quite unique and had some surprises. We only had one major issue with this room due to a continuity error. If the player does not solve a certain puzzle correctly, or close the transition, a staff member is forced to come into the room to reset the puzzle. We think that this is a very important error that needs to be addressed. Staff involvement in a room completely takes away from immersion, especially if it's not requested by the team in the form of a hint. It is more than possible that some groups won't encounter this issue at all, but I suspect that it will affect more than just a few people. Other than this, Mystery Room Downsview has provided another solid room escape!
