NextRelic currently has one room called The Crime Scene, but the staff told us they might be opening another location or changing this room eventually. The staff were friendly, but we weren't given any back story for the room before entering. This escape is quite large, with 2 stories and several rooms. The Crime Scene produces a very immersive atmosphere with separate rooms, giving the sense of being in a haunted house, but maybe not quite the "crime scene" NextRelic was going for. Perhaps if we had been given a back story it may have helped. There are some surprising transitions and innovative uses of space here. I found the puzzles to be great for the most part. There was one in particular I really enjoyed and found to be quite unique. Locks are a combination of key locks, the familiar digit and letter locks, as well as some sophisticated triggers. There is no challenge rating for The Crime Scene, however compared to others, it falls around the moderate difficulty level. It’s a satisfying experience, and most of the puzzles are presented in a way which does not require too much prompting. Overall, I think that the owners and designers have put a solid effort into this room and it is one of the better ones with a strong focus on communication and teamwork.
